FREE TAX CLINIC

A Free Service for Women & Their Families

 

Filing your taxes each year is mandatory to receive benefits such as the Canada Child Benefit, GST rebates, and Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH).

Womanspace offers a free tax preparation service to women and their families through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP).

 

This service is available to all individuals with an income below $35,000/year or couples with a combined income below $45,000 (plus $2,500 for each dependent).

 

Please note that we are not tax professionals, and we can’t file taxes for small businesses, for the self-employed, for the deceased, or for those with complex tax situations or investment incomes.

 

Our tax services are currently available in person by appointment (preferred) or walk-in at our office. Evening telephone appointments are also available.
